Libraries / Catalogs

Overview

Organization Administrator can access to :

• Publics Catalogs
• Private Catalogs from the Organisation

Catalogs can contains:

• vApp Templates
• installation supports (.ISO)

Publics Catalogs

Below is a Description of Catalogs

Private Catalogs

Each customer can manage their own catalogs.

Please note!

The storage in these catalogues consumes the storage of the storage class available in the first vDC in the order of the list displayed by vCloud Director. Upload via the Portal is functional for small VMs (<50GB).

For larger VMs, an FTPS server is available. In this case, please contact support for more information (@IP/credentials).

Create a Private Catalog

Choose Libraries\Catalogs\NEW Indicate : a Name a Description optional Activate the option Pre-provision on specific storage policy if you want to deploy on a specific Storage Policy. Click on OK to validate
Share your catalog with the others Orgaization Users if needed. From the Actions column Choose Share Select the Users and the Access Level (Read Only\Read/Write\Full Control) Choisir SAVE

Add a Media File (.ISO)

Go to Libraries/Catalogs. Select Media & Other and ADD. Indicate : a Name a Description (optional) Select the Media Choose OK. A task informs you about the current import.

Add a vApp Template (.OVA)

Go to Libraries/Catalogs. Click on Catalogs/vApp Templates and NEW Select the Source File
Click on NEXT and choose: A vApp Template Name A Catalog and NEXT
Validate the information and press FINISH. A task informs you about the current import.

Remove a Catalog

Warning!
If you need to remove a catalog, you need first remove All vApp Templates and Media & Other from the Libraries.

Go to Libraries/Catalogs. From Actions columns, click on Delete Catalog and DELETE. A task will inform you that the deletion is in progress.
