Affinite Rules / Anti-Affinité

Overview

For performance reasons, for example, you can create an Affinity Rule, the DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler) will then keep the VMs on the same ESXi host.
Otherwise, with an Anti-Affinity Rule, the DRS will maintain VMs on different ESXi in order, for example, to prevent a VM access failure if an ESXi goes down.

Prerequisites

• VM Deploy

Affinity Rule From Data Centers > Affinity Rules > NEW
Define : A Name Tick the cases Enabled and Required Select the VMs and SAVE.
The rule is created. The VMs will be on the same ESXi Cluster.

Anti-Affinity Rule Define : A Name Tick the cases Enabled and Required Select the VMs and SAVE.
The rule is created. The VMs will be on a different ESXi Cluster.
