Overview

Before modifying the disks of your VMs, remember to check that you have sufficient resources on your VDC.
Rappel : You can set autonomously the resources of your VDC from the customer area Cloudstore.

Warning!

If you have a Temporary need to increase the Storage Capacity of a VM, we advise you to add a new disk as you will be able to remove it later. It's not possible to reduce the size of a disc.

The size of a "vmdk" file is limited to 2 TB..

If a VM needs more than 2TB of storage, you need to add several disks of 2TB max.

VM with OS Windows

Configure a Disk

  1. Open Disk Manager
  2. Format the new partition or extend an existing partition.


If you have this message : The disk is offline because of policy set by an administrator

Apply actions below :

From a DOS windows as Administrator

  1. diskpart.exe
  2. san policy=OnlineAll
  3. list disk
  4. select disk X
  5. attributes disk clear readonly
  6. attributes disk
  7. online idsk
  8. list disk

  1. Relaunch Disk Manager.
  2. You are able to create a New Volume.

VM with OS Linux
